Cheap Car Hire Argentina

Welcome to Argentina: South America’s Land of Contrasts
Stretching from the steamy jungles of the north to the windswept plains of Patagonia, Argentina is a vast and diverse country bursting with natural wonders, rich culture, and unforgettable adventures. Whether you're planning a road trip through the Andes, exploring the tango-filled streets of Buenos Aires, or visiting the glaciers of El Calafate, a hire car gives you the freedom to explore Argentina at your own pace.
Start your journey at Ministro Pistarini International Airport (Ezeiza) in Buenos Aires, the main gateway to Argentina. From there, the open road is yours to discover. Compact cars are ideal for urban driving, while an SUV is best suited for Patagonia's rugged terrain or the high-altitude routes of the Andes.
Imagine cruising along Ruta Nacional 40, one of the longest roads in the world, which stretches across deserts, vineyards, lakes, and mountain passes. Picture yourself driving through the lush vineyards of Mendoza, soaking in views of the snow-capped Andes, or heading north to the red rock formations of Salta and Jujuy. Every region offers a new landscape, a new flavor, and a new story to tell.
Argentina's cities are as diverse as its geography. In Buenos Aires, the “Paris of South America,” you’ll find grand boulevards, European-style architecture, and a lively arts scene. Córdoba and Rosario offer youthful energy, colonial charm, and cultural depth. Down south, Bariloche offers alpine scenery and chocolate shops reminiscent of the Swiss Alps.
Head to Patagonia for an entirely different experience, raw, untamed nature. Explore the glaciers of Los Glaciares National Park, hike in El ChaltĂ©n, or watch penguins in Punta Tombo. Drive along the windswept Atlantic coast or take in the majestic views of the Andes near San MartĂn de los Andes. In the far north, marvel at the waterfalls of IguazĂş, one of the largest and most spectacular in the world.
Driving in Argentina
A rental car is your ticket to explore the country’s remote treasures and less-traveled routes. Argentina has a good network of paved highways, particularly around major cities and tourist destinations, though rural roads can vary in condition. Roads in Patagonia and the northwest can be unpaved and rugged—4WD vehicles are recommended in these areas.
Driving is on the right-hand side. Seat belts are mandatory, and mobile phone use while driving is prohibited unless using hands-free. Fuel is widely available in urban areas, but be sure to fill up when traveling long distances or into remote regions. Many petrol stations are full-service.

Argentina has a mix of toll and free roads. Highways around Buenos Aires and other major cities often have toll booths, so keep cash or a payment card handy. Speed limits vary but are generally 60 km/h in urban areas, 100 km/h on main roads, and 120 km/h on highways.
With a rental car, Argentina becomes a landscape of possibilities. From glacier lakes to mountain roads, colonial towns to sprawling estancias, you can create your own unforgettable journey.
